Michael L. Fuesting & Family

 

Dr. Mike graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1982 and started his private practice in Danville, Illinois that August, but he has never stopped learning. A continuing education enthusiast, Dr. Mike has attentively attended more than 2000 hours of post graduate continuing education courses, as well as many American Dental Association meetings, Chicago Dental Society meetings, Illinois State Dental Society meetings, and many other independent continuing education courses.  Dr. Mike has taken many classes and attended several advanced mini-residencies on all aspects of implant dentistry.  He enjoys all aspects of general practice including implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.

Dr. Mike is also active in several dental societies. He has held all offices in the Danville District Dental Society, and he is currently on the Executive Committee. Dr. Mike is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society (he serves on Spokesperson Bureau), the International Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and is also an Associate Member of Chicago Dental Society.

In recognition for his fine services, Dr. Mike has received two Clopper Foundation awards, as well as awards from the Academy of General Dentistry, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, SIU Orthodontics, and SIU Periodontics.

Dr. Mike and his wife Kathy married in 1980. They have one daughter, Melissa. They attend St. Paul's Catholic Church in Danville. Dr. Mike has also worked on United Way drives for over 20 years, is a Life member of Vermilion Country Museum Society, and is a CPR instructor for American Heart Association.

When not working, Dr. Mike enjoys flying. He has his instrument rating and is a member of the AOPA, EAA, and the Cessna Pilots Association.

Dr. Mike also loves to garden in his spare time.
